Eve and my first day was slightly confusing. Our sponsor forgot we started yesterday
but, have no fear, we reminded him and got going as soon as we could. Our first day consisted of some basic
boxing technique and some hard cardio training. We put on gloves for the first time. We felt pretty cool.
Also our sponsor agreed to let us in the octagon at the end of our project as a
final culmination of everything we will learn (minimal contact of course). We got a feel for the studio and
interacted with the regulars as well as getting some quality one on one
training with our sponsor. Later
we came back to assist in some kids martial arts classes and get a feel for
some evening classes. It was a great experience watching the kids of various
levels interact and spar with one another. Our sponsor has great energy and
always has a positive outlook. We are looking to more days of boxing technique,
sparring, assisting with classes and photographing the studio. #YOBO (you only
box once) (or everyday for four weeks, depending on your lifestyle choice).
